Stella a legend in her own right, is the most unique Dual (Show & Obedience) performing German Shepherd in Australia. At our most major specialty G.S.D. Shows & Obedience Trials held in the country in 1996, in less than 6 months she achieved results that no other person in this country had ever dreamed about, and most likely never to achieve. She was extremely highly placed in her Show classes & in Obedience she gained three passes in a row with two first and a second for her CD title.

As a versatile dog Stella has also been used as Demonstration Dog promoting our lovely versatile breed to the general public.

Some of Stella's most outstanding performances.

At the 1996 G.S.D.C.A.Inc. National Show & Obedience Trial held in Melbourne, Stella won the Intermediate Bitch class, Judge:- Herr Erich Orschler. SV (GMY). She then went on to win Intermediate In Show, & in Obedience, she won Novice Obedience Bitch with a score of 190 & an Excellent Obedience Medal. She then went on to win the Gold Medal in the run off for Best In Trial, beating her mum (Krista) who won UD. & Open bitch in Obedience & also beating the Novice, Open & UD. Dogs.
This made Stella the first German Shepherd in Australia to win both Show & Obedience at the same National Show & Trial.

Critique: Judge:- Herr Erich Orschler. 18 months, A bitch of very good type and expression. Large, medium strong & substantial, with very good proportions. Head of good type, pronounced withers, very good length and lay of croup, very good angulations of both fore and hindquarter, balanced chest proportions, the pasterns could be a fraction firmer. Free far- reaching gait with good back transmission.

At the 1996 G.S.D.C.V.Inc. Victorian State Breed Exhibition & Trial, Stella was 5th place in Intermediate Bitch Class Judge:- Mr. C. Hollingworth (Australia) & 1st in Novice Obedience Bitch, with a score of 189.

At the 1998 G.S.D.C.A.Inc. National Show & Trial in Open Bitch show class, Stella came 6th place graded Excellent in a class of 71 exhibited. Under the Judge :- Arturo Janke. SV (Switzerland)

Stella won the 1999 Open Bitch Show class, graded Excellent at 69th G.S.D.C.V.Inc Championship Show & Trial. Under the Judge:- Mr. Singnor Gabriele Pettinaroli. (Italy).

A quote from the Australian Presidents Report (Max Stokes) in the June 1996 G.S.D. Quarterly National Review Magazine. "What a tremendous achievement at 1996 National was the Intermediate Bitch winner in Conformation Classes (Bodecka Bolly 'A'.Z.') going on to win the Gold medal in the obedience - a truly magnificent effort by both dog & handler".

At the 1996 G.S.D.C.A.Inc. Main Breed Exhibition & Trial, at just two years old Stella was graded Excellent Select, 6th place under the Judge:- Mr. Louis Donald SV (Australia). Stella was also 2nd in Novice Obedience Bitch 186, gaining her CD. title with three passes in a row and winning the Dual Trophy. This makes her the first Excellent Select dog to win the Dual Trophy at a Main Breed Exhibition & trial.

Stella was graded Excellent Select at the 1998 G.S.D.C.A.Inc. Main Breed Exhibition under the Judge:- Mr. Max Stokes. (Australia)

Critique - 4 year, 7 months, above medium size, medium strong, typey and expressive bitch with a very good top and underline. Very good angulations both front & rear. Stands correct in front. Very good movement.

On the 11th & 12th March at the 2000 C.S.D.C.V.Inc. 70th Championship Show & Trial, Stella came 5th place in Open Bitch graded Excellent under the Judge:- Margit Van Dorssen SV. (Germany).

On the 20th May 2000 at the 9th G.S.D.C.V. Inc. State Breed Exhibition & Restricted Obedience Trial, Stella came 2nd Reserve Siegerin, Graded Excellent Merit under the judge Vince Tantaro (Australia)
Critique : 5 years 9 months. Large, very well coloured and pigmented bitch of very good proportions. Very good head, very expressive. Desired dark masking and eye. High withers, firm back, slightly short slightly steep croup. Very good fore and underchest. Stands correct in front. Very good fore, very good hindquarter angulation. Steps correct front and rear, with good firmness of hock joints, elbows could still be firmer. In movement displays far reaching powerful gait, transmitted through a high wither, and firm back. Off lead gaiting presents a picture of balance maintaining the wither line and displaying overall firmness of ligamentation.

Part of the judges summation of the class : 2nd who is well known to us and a bitch that at nearly 6 years, yet to age and again typical of her sire. This bitch that has always impressed me she is of desired type and praiseworthy overall construction. Her firmness is commendable and her character during the gaiting displays a willingness to perform at all phases. Breeding potential is evident with a 1st place getter - (x Ch. Iwan Vom Lechtal) Minor Puppy Dog.

Stella is the only bitch that has been presented with an Award
of Distinction for her outstanding efforts in both Show & Obedience by the G.S.D.C.V.Inc.
